bautec 2020: Strong focus on innovation, learning and efficiency
• 2020: bautec relocates to the southern section of the exhibition grounds
• Construction industry featured in its own hall
bautec 2020, which will take place from 18 to 21 February 2020, will feature new, high-quality content and formats for exhibitors and trade visitors, with a focus on the key topics of innovation, learning and efficiency.
The long-standing and close partnership with the German Construction Association, the non-commercial sponsor of the event, will be expanded. Thus, for the first time and with the active support of the association, an entire hall will be devoted to the construction industry. The special exhibition of affordable and sustainable housing, which was successfully launched in 2016, will continue to be developed in order to firmly establish it at the trade fair.
Dieter Babiel, chief executive of the German Construction Association, who in December will be joining the bautec advisory board: “We are heavily involved in bautec because the housing and construction industries are experiencing possibly the most radical changes in their history, with regard to digitalisation, overcoming old ways, housing construction, the shortage of specialists, and Industry 4.0. We have the solutions, and they are better and more attractive than ever!”
2020: bautec relocates to the southern section of the exhibition grounds
bautec is looking forward to moving to Halls 1.2 to 6.2 on the southern section of the Berlin Exhibition Grounds (previously Halls 20 to 26), where an overall display area of 36,000 m² will be available for bautec 2020. For exhibitors and trade visitors, the new hall layout means shorter distances, a more efficient visit, compact floor distribution, and a route for touring the fair, as well as an impressively designed entrance for everyone taking part and proximity to light rail public transport.
bautec – with its concept focusing on the integration of the building exterior and its systems – provides everyone taking part with excellent opportunities for dialogue and an exchange of views among all the skilled trades. Preparations are under way to organise exhibitor forums in the halls and congresses on forward-looking topics such as digitalisation, energy-efficient construction, new low-cost and sustainable building systems and materials, heat insulation, fire protection and soundproofing systems, attracting young professionals, obtaining the necessary specialists, and many other topics besides.
bautec will be augmented by GRÜNBAU BERLIN, which looks at the forward-looking topics of urban development and green infrastructure.
