FutureCity@GRÜNBAU BERLIN

Technical congress on all aspects of the development of open spaces and urban areas, 11 April at the Marshall Haus on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds

Is it possible to plan safe cities? What aspects have to be considered with regard to rainwater management? How can more greenery be incorporated in cities? What role does street furniture play? Questions like these will be investigated at the technical forum FutureCity@GRÜNBAU BERLIN on 11 April 2019 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Together with the magazines Garten+Landschaft and Playground@Landscape, bautec has invited experts in this field to discuss current issues and planning challenges in the development of open spaces and urban areas. The concept of this event is aimed in particular at municipal planners and decision-makers, landscape architects and planners, as well as representatives of the real estate and housing sector and of science and research.

For the first time this event is being recognised by the Berlin Chamber of Architects as a continuing education event with six advanced training credits. The participation fee is 79 euros (incl. beverages and lunch). The programme features papers by prominent speakers from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. There will also be presentations by companies such as Berliner Seilfabrik GmbH & Co., Hörmann KG VKG, Kaiser & Kühne Freizeitgeräte and smb Seilspielgeräte GmbH.

FutureCity@GRÜNBAU BERLIN is part of the trade fair concept of the exhibition GRÜNBAU BERLIN, and forms a separate part of bautec, from 18 to 21 February 2020. Manufacturers, service providers and stockists will be using the slogan ’Designing, constructing and maintaining external areas’ to stage their presentations on the subject of Green Urban Development. The topics and tasks covered at the Forum on 11 April will be addressed here in greater detail in the series of papers under the heading of GRÜNBAU:TALKS and SPIELRAUM:TALKS.
