bautec 2020: Entries invited for the bautec.Bear
Competition for the bautec.INNOVATION AWARD to take place for the second time – candidates are invited to submit entries for the bautec Innovation Award as of 1 July
The bautec innovation award is taking place for the second time. At the forthcoming bautec, which will be held from 18 to 21 February on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, trade visitors will honour the winners of the bautec.INNOVATION AWARD 2020 with the bautec.Bear. Exhibitors and co-exhibitors at bautec 2020 and the parallel event GRÜNBAU BERLIN are invited to submit their innovative products and systems solutions for this innovation award starting on 1 July 2019. The deadline for entries is 1 October 2019. Application forms for the bautec.INNOVATION AWARD are available online at www.bautec.com.
The search is on for new and evolutionary products and systems solutions with an innovative approach which are currently being brought on to the market. What is important is that they feature practical value and can be applied by skilled tradesmen. An expert jury comprising Prof. Dr. Susanne Rexroth of HTW Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin, Cordula Fay, head of Urban Development and Housing at Bundesverband deutscher Wohnungsunternehmen e.V. (GdW), and Ulrich Zink of BAKA Bundesverband Altbauerneuerung e.V. will make their selection for the final round. The finalists will then present their entries at a special display in Hall 3.2 at bautec 2020. The trade visitors at the fair will have the final decision: over three days they will be able to cast their votes for what they regard as the most innovative product. After the votes are counted the bautec.Bear will be presented to the winner on 21 February, the last day of the event. For the first time there will also be a special prize for start-ups.
The bautec.INNOVATION AWARD is sponsored by bautec in partnership with BAKA Bundesverband Altbauerneuerung e.V. The award was presented for the first time at bautec 2018. In 2018 first prize went to Ulrich Brunner GmbH for the company’s Brunner BHZ heating control unit, a modularly expandable hydraulic box with all the components needed to create bivalent heating systems. Second prize was awarded to Hottgenroth Software GmbH & Co. KG for its HottScan HS-1, a system that automatically takes 3D measurements. Third prize was won by PERI GmbH for its DUO combined formwork system, a universal lightweight formwork for walls, foundations, pillars and ceilings. Two other companies were also recognised for their innovative entries. C³-Carbon Concrete Composite e.V. for its carbon concrete, and LTM GmbH for its Thermo 200-50 range of intelligent ventilation units.
